WHAT IS

EMOTIONAL FREEDOM TECHNIQUE?

EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), often called “tapping,” is a simple yet powerful method that combines gentle tapping on acupressure points with focused statements. It works by calming the nervous system, rewiring stress responses, and helping the body release emotions that feel “stuck.” This is not talk therapy and it’s not hypnosis. It’s a practical tool you can use anytime—guided by me as your coach—to process emotions safely and restore balance.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND EFT TECHNIQUE

THE SCIENCE BEHIND EFT TECHNIQUE

Why It Works

When we experience stress, trauma, or overwhelming emotions, the body can hold onto those patterns—almost like being stuck in a loop. EFT interrupts that loop and helps the body reset.

How EFT Works in the Brain

EFT combines two key elements:

  •  Tapping on acupressure points (the same points used in acupuncture) sends calming signals to the brain, especially the amygdala, which triggers stress and fear responses.

  •  Speaking affirmations while tapping helps the brain safely process emotions, shifting them out of “fight-or-flight” mode and into balance.

This pairing tells the nervous system: “I can face this emotion and still be safe.” Over time, the brain rewires its response so old stress triggers no longer have the same power.

Clients often describe it as “finally exhaling” emotions they’ve carried for years.

What to Expect in a Session

EFT sessions are held conveniently through Zoom meetings, making it easy to adapt to your schedule—whether you’re local or live out of town. All you need is a quiet space, and I’ll guide you step by step through the process.

Together we will:

  1.  Identify the emotion, stressor, or belief that’s causing distress.

  2.  Use tapping sequences to bring the nervous system into calm.

  3.  Reframe and release the emotional charge so you feel lighter and clearer.

  4.  End with supportive affirmations to anchor new patterns.

You’ll also leave with tapping tools you can use on your own, making EFT a lifelong resource for stress and emotional balance.

EFT as a Continuation Tool

Many of my clients begin with in-person therapies such as Biomagnetic Therapy to clear physical and energetic imbalances, then continue their healing journey with EFT. It’s the perfect way to keep uncovering and releasing the emotional layers and root issues that often surface after in-home therapy. This combination creates a powerful bridge: first restoring the body, then continuing to release the emotions and beliefs connected to those imbalances.

Who This Is For

EFT is especially helpful if you are:

  •  Struggling with anxiety, panic, or overwhelm

  •  Experiencing depression, sadness, or grief

  •  Dealing with cravings or emotional eating

  •  Wanting a natural way to feel calm, clear, and in control

Benefits Clients Often Experience

  •  Relief from stress and anxiety—even in the moment

  •  A sense of calm and clarity

  •  Release of old emotional patterns

  •  Greater resilience in daily life

Why My Approach is Different

As a certified Kinesiologist and Psychology-Kinesiologist, I combine EFT with body-based techniques that identify where emotions are stored and how they link to physical or biochemical imbalances. This makes the work deeper and more precise—addressing both the mind and the body in every session.
